Author Biography
Zhou Xian, born in 1954 in Nanjing, professor at Art Institute of Nanjing University and Yangtze River Scholar Distinguished Professor. Specializing in art theory, aesthetics and visual culture, Prof. Zhou Xian is influential in Chinese academia, especially in the area of visual culture. His main works are Critique of Aesthetic Modernity, The Turn of Visual Culture, A Theoretical Journey Across Cultures etc. He was awarded the first and second prizes for his provincial-and-ministerial-level scientific research. Other authors are also professors or associate professors in Nanjing University and Sichuan Normal University. They are expert in art theory, aesthetics, cultural study, literary theory, visual culture etc.
