Wang Yi: Professor at Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, Master's Supervisor for Fashion Art Design and Chinese Ethnic Costume Culture Research, Director of China Fashion and Color Association, Vice President of China Fashion Culture Research Association, Vice President of Fashion Talent Professional Committee of China Talent Research Association, Deputy Director of Costume Styling Professional Committee of China Film Art Academy, Director of Expert Committee of China Fashion Culture Promotion Association, Deputy Director of Academic Committee of China Professional Wear Industry Association, and Special Researcher at Bunka Gakuen University in Japan.
Graduated from the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts, he has been engaged in teaching for more than 30 years. He has undertaken numerous major national and municipal scientific research projects, as well as the construction of quality courses and national first-class courses. A Distinguished Teacher, he integrates innovative design with traditional culture research, and links teaching with industrial R&D.
He has published dozens of academic papers and authored multiple monographs, textbooks, and teaching aids covering areas such as costume culture research, fashion design, fashion illustration, and computer-aided fashion illustration.
He has organized and participated in academic exchanges and exhibitions at home and abroad, with his works exhibited in France, South Korea, Japan, and other countries. For years, he has organized and guided students to participate in domestic and international professional competitions, winning numerous awards including gold, silver, and bronze medals.
Every year, he conducts in-depth field investigations on ethnic costumes in minority areas, possessing systematic and profound research on the subject. He also participates in ethnic costume culture-related projects initiated by local governments.
