Jessie Sima ist Autorin und Illustratorin und lebt in New York City. Sie wuchs in einer kleinen Stadt im Süden New Jerseys auf und ahnte damals noch nicht, dass sie eine Geschichtenerzählerin ist. Als sie es schließlich herausfand, hat sie es ihrer Familie erzählt und sie haben es recht gut aufgenommen.; Jessie Sima ist Autorin und Illustratorin und lebt in New York City.
