Author Biography
KOSTAS MARKOPOULOS is a Greek painter and illustrator. He studied at the School of Fine Arts at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He has received multiple awards for his illsutartions in children’s picture books. He has received the National Prize and the EBGE Design Award for his work on The angry cement mixer. He has also received the EBGE Design Award for his work on Far far away (2018) and This is how books are made (2019). He lives and works in Thessaloniki as a primary school art teacher.
RODOULA PAPPA is a writer and translator of children’s books. Her books The boy with the tree (2012) and On puppy’s nose, a grasshopper (2017) were both awarded the Greek National Book Prize and she has received the Greek IBBY for her latest work This is how books are made (2019). She is co-founder of the Volatilium and Tsalapeteinos children’s books imprints.
