Hidilyn Francisco Diaz is the first Filipino to win a silver medal at the Olympics for weightlifting, a sport dominated by men. She was honored twice for being Sportsperson of the Year, and was a part of the Ten Outstanding Young Men and Ten Outstanding Women in National Service Award.
Hidilyn is looked up to as a role model for her skill, strength, intellect, and endurance to fulfill her dreams—a gift to the greatness of God, her country, and her family.
