Author Biography
The authors were two sisters of Staff Sergeant Garvey. These sisters have been dedicated to a life of service for many years and understand the importance of relationships in building a successful and satisfying life. Barb has practiced as a Registered Nurse in clinical practice, management and medical administration. Linda has practiced as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse in clinical practice and as faculty in
both the psychiatric and general nursing programs. The authors provide service as writers, consultants and educators to individuals, organizations and groups. They recently developed an educational program based on Life Lessons From a Red Serge’which the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Heritage Center offers to visitors to the Center.
