Sun Lijun, a Level-2 Professor and Doctoral Supervisor, currently serves as Vice President of Beijing Film Academy and Director of the China Animation Research Institute at Beijing Film Academy. He enjoys the Special Government Allowance of the State Council, and has been honored as a "Four Batches" Talent in the National Publicity and Cultural System by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, as well as a Leading Talent in the National "Ten Thousand Talents Program" by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee.

He also holds multiple academic and professional positions, including Deputy Director of the Teaching Guidance Committee for Drama and Film & Television Studies Majors under the Higher Education Teaching Guidance Committee of the Ministry of Education, Member of the 8th Discipline Appraisal Group for Drama and Film & Television Studies of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, Vice Chairman of the Beijing Film Association, Standing Director of the Beijing Higher Education Association, Visiting Researcher at Microsoft Research Asia, Judge of the China Golden Rooster Awards, Judge of the China Huabiao Film Awards, and Member of the Jury for Character Animation and Animation Production Film Art at Gobelins, l'École de l'image (France).
