Description
The book, snakes of Iran, provides updated data about the biodiversity of snakes in Iran, consisting of 81 species, belonging to 34 genera and 7 families. Also, an identification key for the species and genera of snakes of Iran is presented in the book. As well, the habitat of snakes in Iran is explained and global and national distribution maps of the snakes are presented. In this book, images from nearly all different color patterns of snakes of Iran are presented.

Author Biography
He was born in Tehran 1359 he has been engaged in herpetology since he was a bachelor student at Razi University, where he met Nasrollah Rastegar-Pouyani in 2002. In master career at Shahid Beheshti University, he studied the biodiversity of mountain vipers, under supervision of Dr. Bahram Kiabi. Later, he studied the biodiversity of snakes in mountains of Iran in his Ph.D thesis, under supervision of Prof. Dominique Adriaens; and received his Ph.D from Ghent University, Belgium in 2013. He is interested in biodiversity of snakes in western Asia, especially biodiversity of non-poisonous, dwarfed snakes. so far, he has contributed in description of 3 new species and 2 new genera of snakes, as well as 9 new species of lizards in the western Asia.
