Author Biography
Chen Nanliang, male, Han nationality, born in 1962. Professor and Doctoral Supervisor; Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Donghua University.
He graduated from the Knitting Engineering major of East China Textile Institute of Science and Technology in July 1984 and has been working at the university ever since. In January 1989, he obtained a Master's degree in Textile Materials from China Textile University; in April 2001, he earned a Doctoral degree in Textile Engineering from Donghua University. He once served as a senior visiting scholar in the Czech Republic and Germany, engaging in research on technical textiles.
Work Experience: Since 2001, he has been a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the College of Textiles, Donghua University. He has previously held positions including Director of the Knitting Engineering Department, Secretary of the Party Branch, Vice Dean, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and Dean of the College of Textiles, Donghua University.
Social Affiliations: Vice President of China Technical Textiles Association; Vice President of China Knitting Industry Association; Member of the Academic Working Committee of China Textile Engineering Society; Deputy Director of the Technical Textiles Professional Committee of China Textile Engineering Society.
Academic Achievements: His main research direction is the technological development and application of technical textiles, with in-depth research foundations in high-performance fiber special weaving technologies and product development. A number of key technological breakthrough products have been successfully applied as core materials in the "Tiangong" and "Tianzhou" series of spacecraft, as well as high-performance satellites such as the "Beidou" and "Tiantong" series. Products developed in the field of biomedical textiles have reached the international advanced level, and some project achievements have entered clinical application. He has won 2 Second-Class Awards of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, 1 Second-Class Award of the National Teaching Achievement Award, 5 First-Class Awards and 5 Second-Class Awards of Provincial and Ministerial Science and Technology Progress Awards.
Honors and Awards: He has been awarded the China Textile Light Special Award for Teachers, China Textile Academic Leader, National Excellent Scientific and Technological Worker, Shanghai Shuguang Scholar, Shanghai Outstanding Academic Leader, Shanghai Leading Talent, Shanghai "May 1st" Labor Medal, Special Government Allowance from the State Council, Top 10 Annual Figures in China's Textile and Apparel Industry (2011), Top 10 News Makers in Shanghai Education (2013), 3rd Shanghai Excellent Team for Staff Technological Innovation (2013), and Outstanding Contribution Award in China's Technical Textiles Industry, etc.
