This book consists of three parts:Part I A Brief History of Chinese Philosophy, of which the chief editor is Mr. Guo Qiyong and deputy editor is Ouyang Zhenren, introduces the general picture of Chinese philosophy and the wisdom of Chinese traditional culture, from the origin of Chinese philosophy, the development in Pre-Qin and Han Dynasties to transformations in modern times.In Part II Chinese Traditional Wisdom and China Rejuvenation, Mr. Guo Qiyong explains the relationship between traditional culture rejuvenation and China rejuvenation, the values of traditional Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism wisdom in building people’s lives, self-adjustment and coping with work and life.Part III Selected Readings in Philosophical Classics, is edited by Mr. Guo Qiyong, selects classic literature from The Book of Changes, Lao Zi and The Analects of Confucius and works of other important philosophers such as Zhu Xi, and provides detailed notes and interpretations for readers to have a good understanding of the original wisdom of Chinese classical philosophy.

Author Biography
Guo Qiyong, Doctor of Philosophy, professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Philosophy and the School of Chinese Classics, Wuhan University, Dean of the School of Chinese Classics, librarian of Hubei Provincial Research Institute of Culture and History. In 2006, he was awarded the tittle of a heavyweight teaching master; in 2017, he was awarded as a towering figure in world Confucian studies. He was the former President and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the International Society of Chinese Philosophy (ISCP), member of the Philosophy Discipline Appraisal Group of the Academic Degrees Committee, and the Deputy Director of the University Philosophy Education Steering Committee. He now serves as the Vice Director of the China Philosophy History Association and Vice Director of the Chinese Confucian Academy. His works include: History of Chinese Philosophy, Spirits of Chinese Confucianism, Exploring Chinese Philosophical Wisdom, Reconstruction of Chinese Humanistic Spirits, New Exploration of Confucianism and Modernization, A Study on Xiong Shili’s Philosophy, A Study on Modern and Contemporary Neo-Confucianism, Introduction to Culturology, etc.
