The Coin
by Gergana Lapteva
Description
Indiana Jones meets Dan Brown is this fast-driven, commercial thriller set against the breathtaking landscapes of Side, Turkey, Matera, Italy and Sofia, Bulgaria. The story unvails the deepest secrets of the historical artefacts' smuggling.
One of the best things in life is to abandon the path that other people think you should follow and take the direction that your heart and soul are driving you to.
Two people who have chosen solitude…
Mira is a young woman who is disappointed with her life and men. She has found peace and security in the ancient history of a small Mediterranean town in Turkey. She works as a tour guide in Side, enjoying the company of a few friends and dreaming about having a house with a veranda overlooking the sea.
Stefan is an investigative journalist, whose father is a prominent businessman in Sofia. His big dream is to become the editor-in-chief of the magazine he works for.
A coin crosses the paths of Mira and Stefan...
A parcel of ancient coins destined for Italy is seized at Sofia Airport. Traces of the illegal treasure lead to Side. Stefan is ready to do his best to unravel the criminal scheme and find out more about the trafficking of ancient valuables, and that way to make a big breakthrough in his career. Mira, on the other hand, has the necessary knowledge to help him solve the mystery.
Yet will these events be powerful enough to keep them together?
