Description
A young woman from Croatia learning German in Vienna falls in love with her teacher. Between lessons, they tell each other stories, dreamy fairy tales, through which they try to explore their inner selves. Together they roam through the Prater, stroll along the Danube Canal, and explore the Naschmarkt – places that serve as a backdrop as they grow closer to themselves and to life. The narrative connects the languages of love and language itself – the infinity in life's seemingly small moments.

Reviews
„What is special about Bilic's love story is that it is the story of a love that consists primarily of stories: a linguistic love story through and through.“ - Nicole Katja Streitler, Standard
"She tells it effortlessly, at times in a childlike, childlike way, almost as if this love story were a bedtime story. And in a certain way, it is: a story that reveals the depth of its simple truths only after a good night's sleep." - Benjamin Jakob, Neues Deutschland
“The book, which (finally) shifts from its sometimes plaguing naiveté to philosophy in the first quarter, is a quietly urgent book that demands pause.” - Erika Wurzenrainer, Das Ultimative Magazin
"The publisher deliberately left the 'mistakes' in place. And lo and behold, they create a charming element of alienation. It is precisely the slightly distorted statements that make much of this heartfelt matter clearer than slick formulations could." - Salzburger Nachrichten
