Author Biography
Michael Lichtwarck-Aschoff is an emeritus anaesthesiologist and intensive care physician who worked and taught at several European universities, and only then began to write literarily. He was awarded the Swabian Prize for Literature and the renowned Irseer Pegasus. Hirzel's most recent publications of his works are “Robert Kochs Affe. Der grandiose Irrtum des berühmten Seuchenarztes!” (Robert Koch’s Ape. The great mistake of the famous physician) (2021), and “Als die Giraffe noch Liebhaber hatte. Wie vier Forscher in ihre Entdeckungen stolperten” (When the Giraff e Still Had Admirers. How four scientists stumbled across their discoveries) (2022).
