        Member of the Móra Publishing Group, Publishing House CERKABELLA was founded in 1997. The aim of Cerkabella is to publish high quality literature for children and young adults. Numerous Cerkabella books have received literary prizes in Hungary as well internationally, and many of our titles have also won awards due to the excellence of their design. The publishing house has been cooperating with numerous well-known authors of children’s books, poets, and prose writers, such as Erzsi Kertész, Szilvia May, Ágnes Mészöly, Tibor Zalán and others. Also, we are working with award winning illustrators, like Réka Hanga, Kinga Rofusz, Katalin Szegedi, Ildikó Petrók, Eszter Metzing, Tibor Kárpáti and others.         Communist sexuality in the flow during and after the Cold War

        De-centering queer theory seeks to reorient queer theory to a different conception of bodies and sexuality derived from Eastern European Marxism. The book articulates a contrast between the concept of the productive body, which draws its epistemology from Soviet and avant-garde theorists, and Cold War gender, which is defined as the social construction of the body. The first part of the book concentrates on the theoretical and visual production of Eastern European Marxism, which proposed an alternative version of sexuality to that of western liberalism. In doing so it offers a historical angle to understand the emergence not only of an alternative epistemology, but also of queer theory's vocabulary. The second part of the book provides a Marxist, anti-capitalist archive for queer studies, which often neglects to engage critically with its liberal and Cold War underpinnings.

Jahrelang galt der in Gera/Thüringen geborene Autor als Geheimtipp, Michael Braun etwa nannte ihn eine „einzigartige Begabung“. »Diese Zeitgenossenschaft erscheint mit archaischer Wucht. Man wird sich daran gewöhnen müssen« schreibt Helmut Böttiger nach Erscheinen von pech & blende. Und Lothar Müller schrieb in der FAZ: »Dieses schmale, großartige Buch ist wie eine Muschel: ein Stück Deutschland ist darin eingeschlossen und rauscht.«

        By situating Iran within the neoliberal global capitalism and resulting geopolitics, this book traces the patterns of capital accumulation and transformations in class and state formation emanating from it. It shows that Iranian neoliberalisation has brought about two capital fractions, namely the internationally-oriented capital fraction and the military-bonyad complex. It substantiates that the co-existence of these competing class fractions with different accumulation strategies has generated hybrid neoliberalism. The book further demonstrates how this new class formation has reorganised the function and operation of state institutions and transformed state ideology. By documenting the ways in which Iranian neoliberalisation has reshaped the subaltern classes and formed Iran's volatile foreign policy, it also provides a novel account of major events and processes in contemporary Iran, such as the post-2017 wave of uprisings, the nuclear programme and international sanctions.
