Mystetskyi Arsenal is Ukraine’s flagship cultural institution that brings together various arts – contemporary art, new music, theater, literature, and museum development. It is located in a historical XVIII century building – fortress citadel – in Kyiv downtown.
The mission of the Mystetskyi Arsenal is to contribute to modernization of Ukrainian society and Ukraine’s integration into the global context based on the axiological potential of culture.
In 2005 Mystetskyi Arsenal National was created from military facility. The building has a total exhibition space of 60,000 sq.m.; currently in use are the first floor with a space of 12,000 sq.m. and part of the second floor with a space of 12,000 sq.m.
