Overview
Qingdao Publishing House, founded in 1987, is a state-owned publisher based in Qingdao, the economic center of east China’s Shandong Province. For more than 30 years, Qingdao Publishing House has published nearly 20,000 titles covering diverse topics ranging from culture, literature, children, education and art to gourmet cooking, health and lifestyle.
Ever since 2019, Qingdao Publishing House has been committed to publishing high quality new works including Shiji for the Youth, Yungang Grottoes Collection, and China Tangka Cultural Archives, and signed a large number of famous Chinese writers such as Mo Yan, Yan Chongnian, Feng Jicai, and Ge Jianxiong. In the past three years, our books won more than 700 book awards from different levels, international, national, and provincial, with Yungang Grottoes Collection winning the highest award in China’s publishing field—National Book Award of the 5th Chinese Government Award for Publishing.
As Qingdao Publishing House seeks to build bridges between Chinese literati and the rest of the world, we are working very closely with foreign publishers and agents. Over the past decade, we have more than 100 book copyrights exported to countries including the USA, Britain, Germany, Italy, Norway, Turkey, Egypt, India, Saudi Arabia, Japan, South Korea, and Vietnam.
