Author Biography

Huang Ronghua, Senior Engineer, is the founder of Beijing National Dyeing Studio. He is an inheritor of the provincial intangible cultural heritage project "Traditional Plant Dye Dyeing", a consultant, visiting professor, and postgraduate supervisor at the Color Center of Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology. With over 30 years of experience in the textile and apparel industry, he inherited traditional dyeing techniques from his family. Since 1993, he has been engaged in the systematic R&D of plant dyes and plant dyeing techniques, and is a key systematic researcher and active advocate in the field of contemporary plant dyes and plant dyeing in China. Despite the extreme lack of traditional materials, he has continuously explored this technology through numerous failures. He has successfully developed the production processes for basic colors of plant dyes and related plant dyeing techniques, as well as China's first set of plant dyeing standard color cards (including 100% cotton knitted fabric color cards, 100% cotton woven fabric color cards, and pure silk satin color cards). Additionally, he has developed natural hand-painting dyes and natural dyeing testing agents, filling multiple domestic gaps in this field.
