Author Biography

Dr. Gong Jianpei is a professor at the School of Design, Nanjing University of the Arts. He also holds multiple important academic and professional positions, including Academic Leader of Brand Featured Majors in Jiangsu Provincial Institutions of Higher Education, Outstanding Young and Middle - aged Backbone Teacher of the Qing Lan Project in Jiangsu Province, Review Expert for Humanities and Social Sciences Projects of the Ministry of Education, Director of the International Natural Dyeing Association, Director of the China Home Textiles Association, and Director of the China Fashion and Color Association.
His research fields cover modern textile and fashion design, modern textile and costume art history, modern batik creation, etc. He has published numerous national key books under the 11th and 13th Five - Year Plans, national - level textbooks as well as several personal works.
Having presided over and completed a number of key projects, fund projects and horizontal projects in the field of humanities and social sciences, Dr. Gong has been awarded many prizes. These include the Second Class Award for Higher Education Teaching Achievements in Jiangsu Province, the Second Class Award for Excellent Achievements of the "Fine Works Project of Social Science Applied Research" in Jiangsu Province, and the Silver Award of the Zijin Award in Jiangsu Provincial Cultural and Creative Design Competition. In addition, he has published more than 60 academic papers in CSSCI - indexed journals and Chinese core journals.
