Author Biography
Miu Wei is a Lead Teacher at the Training Center of the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, a Visiting Professor at the School of Art and Design, Beijing University of Technology, and a Professor at the Beijing Oriental Academy of Culture and Art. He also serves as a Director, Expert Committee Member, and International Cooperation Consultant of the China Fashion and Color Association, as well as a Senior Expert of the Display Art Professional Committee under the Interior Design Institute of the Architectural Society of China.
In forums sponsored by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and organized by the China Fashion and Color Association over the years, he has published academic papers including Ethics and Management in Environmental Applications, Research on the Development of Interior Environmental Color, Color and Music, Space and Time of Color Vision, and Color Mood Design.
As an expert for CAST's special science popularization projects, he participated in compiling Color at the World Expo: Analyzing Color Science to Support the World Expo. He also served as a Member of the Editorial Board for CAST's 2011-2012-2013 Research Report on the Development of China's Color Science and Technology Discipline.
Additionally, he has published color-related textbooks and monographs for higher art and design institutions, such as Storefront Window Design and Color Design for Commodity Display Environments.
