View Rights PortalPeople with complex post-traumatic stress disorder often find themselves in a pattern of loss of control, helplessness, and dependency. A therapy that focuses on individual symptoms such as depression or a “simple” post-traumatic stress disorder often does not do them justice. Even more so when the wrong diagnosis is made due to false assumptions or a lack of information. What all must be ensured for the diagnosis to be made: is there a threat of intrafamilial or external violence? Is existential stability guaranteed during therapy? Are there investigations of legal proceedings in the background? With brilliantly structured overviews, this book helps even experienced diagnosticians to keep track of the variety of diagnostic options to be considered or ruled out and not to overlook anything.Axis I: Personality disordersAxis II: Specific stress-related disordersAxis III: Structural dissociation of personality: dissociativeand partial dissociative identity disorderAxis IV: Dissociative symptomsAxis V: Comorbid disorders For:• psychiatrists• psychologists• psychotherapists specializing in PTSD
The Operationalized Psychodynamic Diagnostic (OPD) is a multiaxial psychodynamic diagnostic system that has become a widely accepted standard in psychodynamic diagnosis for clinical and research use. Numerous empirical studies demonstrate the validity of OPD findings. The clear operationalization, supplemented by case examples and working materials, makes essential components of psychodynamic models - illness experience, relational patterns, intrapsychic conflicts, availability about structural functions - reliably ascertainable.
The Operationalized Psychodynamic Diagnosis (OPD) is a form of multiaxial diagnostic and classification system based on psychodynamic principles, analogous to those based on other principles such as DSM and ICD. It is based on five axes: I = experience of illness and prerequisites for treatment, II = interpersonal relations, III = conflict, IV = structure, and V = mental and psychosomatic disorders (in line with Chapter V (F) of the ICD-10). After an initial interview lasting 1–2 hours, the clinician (or researcher) can evaluate the patient’s psychodynamics according to these axes and enter them in the checklists and evaluation forms provided. The new version, OPD-2, has been developed from a purely diagnostic system to include a set of tools and procedures for treatment planning and for measuring change, as well as for determining the appropriate main focuses of treatment and developing appropriate treatment strategies. Target Group: For psychodynamic psychotherapists, clinical psychologists, psychoanalysts, specialists in psychosomatic medicine, and psychiatrists.
A compelling tour of Shakespeare's England that makes a powerful contribution to the 'authorship question'. How do we know Shakespeare was Shakespeare? Could a glover's son who left school at fifteen really be the author behind such masterpieces as Hamlet, King Lear and The Tempest? Yes! says historian Susan Amussen. She transports readers back to early modern England, to travel the path that carried William Shakespeare from humble origins in Stratford to literary greatness on the London stage. This was a society undergoing rapid change. Grammar schools made education in Latin and Greek available to commoners, while touring players brought the latest dramatic productions to the masses. And in London, a metropolis filled with European visitors, ordinary people had the opportunity to see courtly life up close. No serious historian doubts that Shakespeare was the author of the plays that bear his name. Susan Amussen shares what they know: that Shakespeare's England was a complex and cosmopolitan place, with everything a talented young playwright needed to develop his craft and furnish his imagination.

— Ways out of the digital disaster — For healthcare professionals and informed patients Modern information technologies can and should contribute to improving the quality and transparency of medical care and making healthcare more economical – and all for the benefit and well-being of patients. Well, that would be the noble approach. All the talk about health insurance cards, telematics infrastructure and electronic patient files stirs up emotions. Peter Schaar, long-standing Federal Data Protection Commissioner, brings light to the dark data and health thicket. Why are innovations in the healthcare sector met with great scepticism by many stakeholders? How can we speed up the development and implementation of meaningful ITsupported solutions? What role does the narrow, small-scale regulatory framework play – not only, but also in data protection?
