      • Plastik sparen - Initiative zur Vermeidung von Plastik im Alltag

        Plastik sparen Die Geschichte einer Idee Die Idee für Plastik sparen ist im Juni 2018 entstanden. Wie schon so oft endete ein Wocheneinkauf im totalen Plastik-Inferno. Kennt ihr das? Einmal einkaufen beim Supermarkt um die Ecke und schon ist eine Mülltüte voll mit Plastik. Aber wie kann ich das ändern, fragte ich mich. Also informierte ich mich, war bei einem Vortrag zum Thema "plastikfrei leben" um dann mit dem Gefühl zurück zu bleiben, das nicht leisten zu können. Aber einfach weiter Plastik konsumieren war für mich auch keine Alternative. Es musste doch Möglichkeiten geben Plastik zu reduzieren, die Jedermann*frau ganz einfach in den Alltag einbauen kann. Und so war "Plastik sparen" geboren.  Die Idee dahinter, durch viele kleine Plastik-spar-Aktivitäten den Plastikmüll in meinem Haushalt zu reduzieren. Und, ich kann sagen es funktioniert. Bei jedem Einkauf landet wesentlich weniger Plastikverpackung im Einkaufswagen als früher.  Alles Aktivitäten, die keine (oder nur wenig) Zeit gekostet haben, die oftmals Geld gespart haben und die ich problemlos in den Alltag integrieren konnte.    "Plastik sparen" ist unser Beitrag für eine Umwelt mit weniger Plastik. Meine Ideen, Gedanken und Erlebnisse möchte  ich teilen und viele Menschen dafür begeistern, immer weniger Plastik in ihr Leben zu lassen.

        Jacques Rivette

        by Douglas Morrey, Diana Holmes, Alison Smith, Robert Ingram

        Jacques Rivette is perhaps the best-kept secret of French cinema. A founding figure in the New Wave, and at the centre of the Cahiers du cinéma team, he developed into one of the most unusual and adventurous French directors of the last sixty years, yet his work remains little-known in comparison with his contemporaries, and this study is the first in English to look at the full span of his career. Starting with his decisively influential film criticism of the 1950s, it moves from the New Wave through the complex, experimental films of the 1970s to the challenging, playful dramas which ensured his visibility during the following two decades, and ends in the present, including Rivette's most recent films, Histoire de Marie et Julien (2003) and Ne touchez pas la hache (2007). The book takes a thematic approach, offering detailed discussion of key elements of Rivette's film world, including games, conspiracy and jealousy, as well as a study of what Rivette's cinema adds to our understanding of key theoretical concepts in Film Studies such as narrative, space and adaptation. There are many close analyses of sequences from Rivette's films including Paris nous appartient (1961), Céline et Julie vont en bateau (1974) and La Belle Noiseuse (1991). ;

        'More work! Less pay!'

        Rebellion and repression in Italy, 1972–77

        by Phil Edwards

        In the mid-1970s, a long wave of contentious radicalism swept through Italy. 'Proletarian youth', 'metropolitan Indians', 'the area of Autonomy': a shifting galaxy of groups and movements practised new forms of activism. Factories and universities were occupied; rent and utility payments were withheld; neo-Fascists and drug pushers were attacked on sight. The movements were at once creative and brutal, intransigent and playful. A particular target for mockery was the parliamentary Left, and above all the Italian Communist Party (PCI). An earlier wave of radical activism had culminated in the Hot Autumn of 1969; then, the PCI had managed to 'ride the tiger' of industrial militancy, emerging with its credibility enhanced. Now, however, the PCI was committed to compromise with the ruling Christian Democrats. The second cycle of contention thus ended in a hostile engagement: rather than adopt their policies, the PCI labelled the movements Fascists, criminals and hooligans. By the end of 1977 the movements were broken, while the PCI had moved sharply to the Right. The main beneficiaries were left-wing 'armed struggle' groups such as the Red Brigades. Building on Sidney Tarrow's 'cycle of contention' model and drawing on a wide range of Italian materials, Phil Edwards has told the story of a unique and fascinating group of political movements, and of their disastrous engagement with the mainstream Left. As well as shedding light on a neglected period of twentieth century history, this book offers lessons for understanding today's contentious movements ('No Global', 'Black Bloc') and today's 'armed struggle' groups. ;

        Andro, streng geheim! - Kurzschluss auf Klassenfahrt (Band 3)

        by Kai Pannen

        Andro, Top Secret! - Short Circuit on Class Trip (Vol. 3) Update: Class Trip - The Big Unmasking   At first glance, Andro Newman seems like a normal boy - but Andro is a robot who is secretly smuggled into a school class as a human boy. Mission: to explore the humans and not to be exposed under any circumstances. An innovative hook meets a scribble-like layout that transports the joke from the text to the picture. The topic of "artificial intelligence" is taken up in a playful way and embedded in a setting at school.   What happens in Volume 3:Andro's first challenge for the upcoming class trip is to pack his suitcase. Meanwhile, his "parents" want to take him apart and build a better robot from the parts, since Andro's friendship score is so bad. Andro wants to give up the silly point collecting and enjoy the trip, but technical disturbances and lack of energy supply create new problems. Fellow student Marko is annoying and Julius constantly wants to prove that he is better at everything. Mr. Lembke is still convinced that Andro is a robot and wants to prove his suspicions on the class trip.• Dynamic layout with lots of fonts, vignettes and illustrations• Situational comedy meets a great narrative voice• Special hook: a robot goes undercover at school• The narrative perspective from the point of view of an artificial intelligence offers a lot of humor potential

        Pharmacology Workbook

        Practice, revise, consolidate

        by Annette Thomas and Nadine Sprecher

        Pharmacology imparts knowledge about the effects and use of drugs in humans. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and the development of diseases are also part of the subject matter. However, the abundance of facts can quickly make the head spin. Approaching the subject like a game helps to make it easier to grasp and anchor what has been learnt permanently in the memory, so it can then be confidently used in the day-to-day pharmacy routine. This is where the Pharmacology Workbook comes into play! A whole arsenal of entertaining tasks awaits the reader: crosswords, word and picture puzzles, word search games, “fill in the blanks” quizzes, puzzle games and case examples from pharmacy practice. The section “Linked together, reliably memorised” helps to connect knowledge. “Now it gets tricky” encourages the reader to engage with the material more intensively, while under “Making revision fun” there are tips and suggestions for learning in a group. This work is based on the sequence of chapters in the textbook Pharmacology. But of course, whether pharmaceutical technician, returnee or even pharmacy intern, all can have fun practising, revising and deepening their pharmacological knowledge with the Pharmacology Workbook.
