Overview
Czarne is an independent publishing house that specialises in reportage and non-fiction, as well as prose fiction of the highest quality.
It was founded in 1996 by the award-winning authors Monika Sznajderman and Andrzej Stasiuk – important figures in Polish culture and literature, whose books have been translated into many languages. Czarne publishes around 80 titles per year.
