Author Biography
This science illustration duo is made up of Yuki, a former researcher at a cosmetics company who loves drawing, and his wife Chihiro, who isn’t a science expert but is amazing at handmade crafts and turning everyday things into fun characters.
Together, they combine science and creativity to make learning exciting for kids!
One day, while helping at Chihiro’s handmade craft event, Yuki had an idea:
"What if we turn science tools into characters?"
That spark led the couple to create a series of unique — and slightly geeky — science equipment characters that kids love!
Yuki studied hair dyeing at Kyoto Institute of Technology and worked as a researcher at Shiseido, Japan’s leading cosmetics company.
Now, Yuki and Chihiro work as a creative team, writing books and drawing comics for children’s science magazines.
Their goal is to be a fun and friendly “gateway to science” for young readers everywhere.
