Nach dem auch in deutscher Übersetzung sehr erfolgreichen Roman Der Morgen der Trunkenheit (1995, Insel 2000) wurde ihr zweites Buch In der Abgeschiedenheit des Schlafs (2002) ebenfalls zu einem Bestseller im Iran.
